John Werrbach

Interim Chief Executive Officer Alexian Brothers Medical Center

John Werrbach has been serving as acting Chief Executive Officer of Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village since March of 2007.

Previously, Mr. Werrbach was a Vice President of Alexian Brothers Hospital Network, responsible for developing and implementing operational strategies as ABHN forges ahead with its $400 million expansion program.

Mr. Werrbach has expertise in operations turnaround, strategic planning, program development, clinical service integration and physician recruitment and retention. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Administrative Officer at Lincoln Park Hospital (the former Grant Hospital ) in Chicago. He began his career at Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village, Ill., where he served as Clinical Laboratory Supervisor in the late 1970s.
