The Alexian Brothers Hospital Network offers a wide selection of opportunities to earn your Continuing Medical Education credits. Please note: These activities are available only to local physicians and other medical professionals. Continuing Medical Education activities are not open to the general public.

How do I register for Continuing Medical Education activities?
Registration is not necessary for regularly scheduled conferences, such as Tumor Boards and Grand Rounds held at ABMC and SAMC. There are three options available to register for multi-hour activities, such as dinner meetings or half-day conferences, by emailing CMEregistration@alexian.net, by faxing the completed written form in the activity brochure to 847-981-6014 or by mailing the completed form to the CME department located at 800 Biesterfield Road in Elk Grove Village. Activity brochures are mailed to Alexian physicians. They are also available from the Continuing Medical Education offices at Alexian Brothers Medical Center and St. Alexius Medical Center.
When are Continuing Medical Education activities held?
Regularly scheduled Continuing Medical Education activities are held at various times at both major hospitals. Often, they are held at breakfast or lunchtime to accommodate physicians' busy schedules. Meals are provided free of charge. Multi-hour Continuing Medical Education activities are often held in the evenings and on Saturday mornings.
Where are Continuing Medical Education activities held?
Continuing Medical Education activities are scheduled at ABMC or SAMC and at various outside facilities depending upon the number of participants anticipated. The Stonegate Conference Center in Hoffman Estates is often used for large, multi-hour Continuing Medical Education activities.
What do Continuing Medical Education activities cost to attend?
Continuing Medical Education activities are generally free of charge to Alexian Brothers and other healthcare professionals. Local physicians and related healthcare professionals on staff at other hospitals are also welcome to attend. These events are not open to the general public.

How can I get to be a Continuing Medical Education activity planner?
All physicians at Alexian Brothers' hospitals are invited to become actively involved with their Continuing Medical Education Committees. The co-chairs of the Alexian Brothers Hospital Network Continuing Medical Education Consortium are happy to provide information on becoming a Continuing Medical Education activity planner and/or working with the Continuing Medical Education Committees. We always appreciate Alexian clinicians who are willing to share special expertise in medical subject areas. We use current needs assessments to recruit faculty for subject areas as decided upon by the Continuing Medical Education Committees.
