National Anxiety Disorders Screening Day May 7th

Alexian Brothers Center for Mental Health is offering a free lecture on anxiety disorders and free anxiety disorder screenings on May 7th as part of the National Anxiety Disorders Screening Day.

The lecture will be given by Dr. Patrick McGrath, Director of the OCD and Related Anxiety Disorders Program at Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital.  Dr. McGrath's presentation will focus on the different types of anxiety disorders and their symptoms, as well as various treatment options.  The lecture will be given from 6:00-6:45 p.m. and again from 7:00-7:45 p.m.

Those who attend the event will have a chance to complete a questionnaire regarding their symptoms and to speak with a therapist who is trained in the field of anxiety disorders.  The therapist will review the results of the questionnaire with the participant and, if necessary, provide recommendations and referrals for treatment.  Screenings will be given from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
