Alexian Brothers Child Care Center
Why Choose Us
Alexian Brothers Child Care Center is dedicated to providing each child with compassionate and competent care. We provide your child with an enriching and stimulating environment that fosters self-esteem, a love a learning, respect for others.
Our curriculum is designed to be flexible in order to meet each child's individual needs. Children are assigned to one of our eight classrooms based not only on age, but physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development.
As a means of facilitating respect for others, some of our classrooms visit elderly residents once a week and on holidays at Alexian Village, an assisted-living facility directly across the street from the Center. This intergenerational program is mutually beneficial; the children learn to care about and interact with older adults and the older adults benefit by being involved in the community and having a greater sense of purpose.
The Child Care Center follows the guidelines of the National Association for the Education of Young Children whose focus is on the importance of quality early education. We are licensed by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Service and follow nutritional guidelines established by the department. We consult with safety and security professionals and a registered nurse as needed.
Parents and family play an important role in a child's early education. We encourage parents to visit anytime and become involved with the Center's activities.
