Chaplains are available to patients, families, and the staff at Alexian Rehabilitation Hospital
Chaplains offer the following services:
- A listening presence
- Prayers and spiritual resources
- A supportive presence
- An opportunity for discussion and reflection on life changes and challenges
- Support in making difficult medical decisions and discharge plans
- If desired, assistance in contacting one’s faith community
- Emotional support in adjusting to physical/mental/psychological limitations
- Assist in developing a network of spiritual support options upon discharge
For the Roman Catholic patients:
- Communion is available daily
- The Sacrament of the Sick (Anointing), and Reconciliation (Confession) are available on request
- Mass is celebrated in the chapel every Sunday at 1:00 p.m. and daily mass is available for viewing on television, channel EWTN
