Chaplains are available to patients, families, and the staff at Alexian Rehabilitation Hospital

Chaplains offer the following services:

  • A listening presence
  • Prayers and spiritual resources
  • A supportive presence
  • An opportunity for discussion and reflection on life changes and challenges
  • Support in making difficult medical decisions and discharge plans
  • If desired, assistance in contacting one’s faith community
  • Emotional support in adjusting to physical/mental/psychological limitations
  • Assist in developing a network of spiritual support options upon discharge

 

For the Roman Catholic patients:

  • Communion is available daily
  • The Sacrament of the Sick (Anointing), and Reconciliation (Confession) are available on request
  • Mass is celebrated in the chapel every Sunday at 1:00 p.m. and daily mass is available for viewing on television, channel EWTN
