Alexian Brothers Hospital Network cares about families and is committed to the unique and special needs of women—offering new labor and delivery suites, family-centric care and state-of-the-art nurseries staffed 24/7 by neonatologists and supported by pediatric specialists. Specialty gynecologic programs and breast health are two areas of specialty. We also have a nationally recognized postpartum depression program and specialty services for women at Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital.
Support Our Mission
Healthy Families Program: Alexian Brothers Medical Center is proactively working to prevent child abuse in the greater Chicagoland area. Your gift will help pay for the training of nurse educators to conduct screenings for potential child abuse among first-time parents. Those who are identified as “at risk” for child abuse will be offered free counseling and education services through the Healthy Families Program. These services are proven to help new parents learn to be a stable family and to provide a safe and healthy environment for their new child.
Hispanic Prenatal Education Fund: As the Hispanic population in our community grows, so does the need for additional resources to support mothers who are pregnant. Your donation to this fund will provide bi-lingual educators and translations of printed materials in an effort to help support bilingual labor and delivery and pre- and post-delivery education for Hispanic mothers.
Infant Bereavement Fund at Alexian Brothers Medical Center: The loss of a child is among the most difficult life events with which to cope. Your gift will help purchase supplies for photographic remembrances, materials for burial gowns and blankets, angel pins, and an annual memorial service in May for Alexian patients who have lost a newborn.
Women & Infant Services Fund at Alexian Brothers Medical Center: Women and their newborn children have special needs to help each adjust to the many changes of starting life together. Alexian Women & Infant Services is committed to the unique and special needs of this diverse population of women in our local communities, where over 80 different languages are spoken. Your donation will help produce a variety of educational materials in an expectant mother's native language.
